University of Gondar signs an agreement with Wuhan Sports University, China
The University of Gondar has long-standing ties with various international Universities around the world. However, it could be observed that more and more opportunities in the form of capacity building and mutual beneficial partnerships are becoming more of a reality in the Eastern Country of China.
Recently, through the Ambassadorial work of one of UoG’s Sports Science Department faculty members Yidnekachew Zewdneh, who is a PhD student at Wuhan Sports University of China, UoG has been able to forge ties with one of China’s powerhouse athletics universities.
Dr. Kassahun Tegene, the Academic Vice President of the University of Gondar expressed his great pleasure in the future collaborative work that could be achieved between the two institutions.
In the aforementioned agreement Wuhan Sports University President expressed that an agreement encouraging collaboration was signed because the discussions between the two sides has continued to demonstrate striking similarities regarding the importance each school places upon the discipline and profession of physical education.
Some of the collaborative areas that the two institutions will engage in may include joint training initiatives, student/faculty exchange and joint supervision of project work.
