2.3.        Network Disconnection Policy

  • Any hardware or software which interferes with the normal operation of the network may be logically or physically disconnected from the IT network;
  • Any hardware or software which is identified as a security risk shall be logically or physically disconnected from the IT network;
  • When a device is disabled in the above ways, the ICT Directorate shall attempt to contact the owner of the device, and/or relevant ICT Support staff, to advise them of the action taken and the reason why.
