The Department of Health Service Management and Health Economics is dedicated to developing competent and committed health managers and leaders through the provision of quality education, problem solving research and community service in collaboration with stakeholders.
We aim to become the leading Department producing competent health managers and effective leaders in the country by 2020.
Established in September 2012 our Department is in its early stage of development. We currently run a newly established postgraduate program – MPH with a specialty track in Health Service Management. We also run courses on health service management; health economics; monitoring and evaluation; health policy and planning for medical and health science students.
Our Department currently employs 6 academic staff who are dedicated to improving public health leadership and management. They help us deliver quality teaching, conduct problem based research projects and provide needs led community services.
