Our Work

The I-TECH In-service Training Project seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of health professionals involved in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment at regional and national levels and build the local capacity of the University of Gondar in sustaining training activities.

Our target beneficiaries are health professionals working in Amhara Region Hospitals and our priority intervention areas include HIV/AIDS, TB, STIs, IP and palliative care training and other needs based health problems.

Established in 2010 following a tripartite agreement between ARHB, I-TECH Ethiopia and the University of Gondar, the project has trained more than 900 HCPs working in west Amhara region hospitals. We have also provided a range of training programs and renovated training centers and offices in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
