It is with my pleasure to say few words about the importance of this publication. It would be a time saving and a good culture for an institution to have a prepared self explanatory document at any time. This has got some value for visions to be easily aware of the respective institution by accessing the document. It also prevents unnecessary guessing and exploitation of missed information: it is therefore, keeps at least consistency of the information about the University of Gondar.

The material would be valid as long as its review is produced annually and when it should reflect the information of the respective academic year of the institution and also be understandable by the beneficiaries.

Any comment that would be given by our staff and visitors would be acceptable and considered in the publication only if it will add value to the fault it has to be mentioned.

Last but not least I would like to thank the Planning and Programming Office of the University of Gondar for their exemplary work and valuable contributions they made. I am also passing my message to keep its consistency both for its quality and regularity of the publication annually.
